Auditions

The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre operates under an LOA contract based on LORT-C, with Actor’s Equity Association.

EPA auditions- In order to be considered actors must have experience and training in performing Shakespeare’s plays.

We will post a casting call on Cultural Alliance and Theatre Philadelphia websites on July 17, and we will announce the audition date in that post. Submissions

Auditions are held throughout the year by invitation and sometimes auditions are posted in various theatre outlets like the Philadelphia Cultural Alliance and Theatre Philadelphia.

Internships

Internships are available for: Marketing, Production, Development, Education, Administration.

Internships are unpaid, but individuals get a complete immersion experience in a professional and highly acclaimed theatre, while receiving tutelage from seasoned professionals. College credit is also available.

Volunteer

The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre will be seeking volunteer ushers to assist the House Manager during the 2015 - 2016 Season. Interested individuals should contact The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre at 215-496-9722 or email Marketing at [email protected].

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ushers will be responsible for guiding patrons into the theatre, tearing tickets, and distributing programs. Ushers will also help the House Manager maintain marketing material and oversee the safety and overall experience of each patron. There will be a brief orientation starting one hour before the performance.

BENEFITS

This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity. Each volunteer will receive a complimentary ticket for that evening or afternoon’s performance at The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre.

DRESS CODE

Black bottoms and a white top.
