Text Charts
These charts, developed by the Artistic Director, are a unique development in the field of Shakespeare studies. They provide a detailed blueprint of the text in chart form. They include many components: act and scene breakdown, time and place, a color-coded list of characters, entrances and exits, plot points and the sub-plots that weave throughout the play, outlining the resolution of each one. These are great for teaching and performing. Text charts are available free with a residency, and are also made available for a nominal fee otherwise. Text charts are available free with a residency and attencance at a student matinee. They are also made available for a nominal fee otherwise. Study Guides
Each year we design in-depth study guides to accompany the season's plays in production. The study guides include dramaturgical information about the plays, insight into our particular production, lesson plans, games, information about Shakespeare's life and times, and resources for teachers. Please call or email Lucy Tobin, Director of Education at 215.496.9722 or lucy@phillyshakespeare.org for information about how to receive a study guide.
