Shakespeare Society
Shakespeare Society
In honor of Shakespeare’s 450th anniversary, The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre is announcing the founding of The Shakespeare Society.

The Shakespeare Society is a group of dedicated individuals who have a profound
commitment to the mission, vision, and ideals of The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre.

Any individual who donates $1,000 or more to the Theatre from now until the close of 2014 will receive special recognition as a founding member of The Society. The Shakespeare Society will provide major support for the Theatre, and contributions to the Society help sustain all of the Theatre’s activities, including;

• Our high-caliber, vibrant performances of Shakespeare’s plays, both on our
Mainstage and in the community;

• The Open Door Project suite of educational programs, which engage high
school students in the drama and pathos of Shakespeare, and that can help to
transform students’ lives; and

• The Theatre’s diverse range of community programming, through our
outreach activities and partnerships with other organizations.

This signature program offers our most dedicated donors a chance to enjoy a unique relationship with the Theatre. Our Founding members provide a special impetus that will further our mission of making Shakespeare accessible to everyone.
